Genesis 28:6-30:24
Today's reading was like a twisted version of days of our lives. Two sisters (Leah and Rachel) married to the same man (Jacob) and competing for him. He clearly loves one (Rachel) more than the other but has children with both of them and both of their servants. I'm guessing there isn't adultry involved in this because of the knowledge of all participants prior to all the stuff happening. I don't know. It's just a little bizarre to me. Yes, I understand it's just that the progression of man and lineage is important. So this is getting us to Joseph. He is the son of Rachel and Jacob.
